Raye Bellinger, MD, is a cardiologist in Sacramento, California.
He studied at the University of Texas at Austin and earned his medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. He began his career as a physician in the United States Air Force and completed interventional cardiology training at Duke University Medical Center. His final military assignment brought him to Travis Air Force Base, and he has practiced in Sacramento ever since — first as an interventional cardiologist, and now in outpatient diagnostic cardiology.
Forty years of practice taught him that trouble often starts upstream of the medicine, in a rushed judgment, a weak piece of evidence, or a bias no one thought to question. He wrote this book to help readers catch it earlier.
